Information
Extremely rare and desirable Named Heer Panzer EM protective crash helmet with its matching beret cover!
The helmet having large detachable floppy cover constructed of wool with its spiral weave pattern consistent with original examples is complete with its two piece Heer Panzer beret insignia! The insignia are both 100% originally period hand applied, it has a white on black wreath & cocarde and also a grey on green eagle attached with the same linen thread.
There are no damages or missing parts to the cap. the cover’s stem was neatly removed, the accompanying protective helmet has a full leather sweatband which is roughly a size 57, it is also stamped in black ink on the inner sweatband with maker, “Uniformen mützenfabrik Wilhelm Wethekam, Dresden 1937”
The name tag is marked “Wilhelm Wewel – 3.Pz. Rgt. Nr.11” the helmet has a black oil-cloth lining and has its complete set of six rubber ventilation grommets, this rare item is in excellent condition with only a few moth bites to the cover as well as the obvious signs of wear, splendid example and a Rare item!
