Unique Panzer Wrap!

Information

We are pleased to offer this Truly Unique Panzer Aufklarung leutnant black wrap!!!

We have obtained this wrapper directly from the family estate in Germany! It has never been in a collection before and this is the first time it has been offered to the public!

It comes from a Aristocratic German family.

Panzer Aufklarungs jacket to DKIG winner Leutnant Richard von Mackensen.

Born October 1, 1920 in Neustettin. He died June 28, 2012 in Jevensted.

Company commander in Panzer reconnaissance department 12.

we were lucky to purchase this wrap along with his leather trousers and suspenders that Richard Von Mackensen wore home at wars end and have been stored with the wrap ever since! and are also offered with the wrap!

Description: The wrap has some unique features, the officer went for a very sharp and tailored look with this uniform. The first thing you will notice is the unique barrel cuffs, not often seen on panzer wraps! The wrap has been shortened in length which was a common modification by armored troops. Another very unusual feature on this is that the lining has been replaced in the same black base material as the wrap with the addition of a 2nd inner pocket! The sleeves have also been lined. The wrap features sew in shoulder straps in the bright golden yellow of the rank of leutnant and have the officers gilt Aufklarungs cyphers originally applied, The breast eagle is a enlisted mans version & originally hand applied. The collar tabs feature “basket weave” golden yellow waffenfarbe. There are no belt hook holes as the uniform as been specifically tailored to the officer, There are period applied award & medal bar loops to the front of the uniform. All buttons are period applied to the wrap.

There are areas of wear to this uniform such as on the collar and various small moth nips and grazing, but given the rarity of this uniform and the fact it is a true Named & been there combat Armored Reconnaissance  officers uniform we were not in the slightest bit concerned! There are no rips or tears in the uniform which was the main thing we were looking for. This wrap still displays amazingly and has a history unlike the mint un-issued ones you see around!

Superb item that will display beautifully and a chance to own a truly genuine named & awarded unique officers front-line combat uniform!!!

UPDATE:  This wrap was part of a grouping to Richard Von Mackensen which also came with a set of his leather Kriegsmarine/Panzer leather trousers and suspenders which sadly the person who purchased from us was not interested to keep as a group and only took the wrap.
